HR data security, confidentiality and governance

HR data security, confidentiality and governance
Understand the standards, the risks and manage your data like a pro!

When it comes to financial or customer data, organizations have matured their governance processes and generally understand well what a good data governance and management program means.

When it comes to HR data governance however, the situation is a little different. The concept is still not very well understood and HR and IT managers seem to have different interpretations of what is is.

Data governance is a set of practices and processes that will enable the organization to proactively manage data assets to achieve tactical and strategic goals. It is a way to manage a complex integration between people, processes and technology with proper governance. It is about ensuring the data within the business is consistent, trustworthy and not misused.

With new regulations on data protection, retention and privacy being established, such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), CSAE 3416, SSAE 18 and CSAE 3416, corporate data governance  becomes essential. In the HR context, having a data governance approach is critical, given that the function processes the socio-professional information of employees and candidates on a daily basis.

As part of this webinar, we will explore the legal and regulatory framework that govern the management of HR, talent and payroll data. We will see how certain standards act on technologies in order to provide you guarantees of security and confidentiality. Finally, we will explore HR data governance models in North America and highlight the best practices for building a robust HR data governance model. An essential session in an era where privacy, security and data quality come first.
